Happy New Year Coffee Lovers

All of us here at Brown & Jenkins coffee roasters hope that your January is setting a great tone for the rest of the year to follow. After an incredibly busy holiday season of shipping our coffee beans nationally, and selling local items like coffee gift baskets, I'm focusing on getting back into the swing of things.

We have a lot going on here in our Vermont coffee roasting store, on our Brown & Jenkins' coffee website, and in the local Cambridge community. Here's a small sampling so you know what to look forward to in the coming months.

Coffee Enhanced Food

I'm not the only one who uses coffee rubs to make food taste better. The Hearth & Candle restaurant in the Smuggler's Notch Ski resort recently added this coffee enhanced option to their dinner menu. It's a Steak and Egg meal with coffee encrusted Boyden Farm Ribeye, hash, fried eggs, and red-eye gravy (also made with coffee.)

Local Vermont Foods Here in the Coffee Shop

Just minutes from here in Fletcher, VT "Cranberry Bob" makes some of the best local food products around. You can find Vermont Cranberry Company locally grown and made items like Pirate Island Grill Sauce and Cranberry Horseradish right on the shelves by our front door. One of my absolute favorites is the After Balsamic Vinegar that is made from Vermont Frontenac ice wine grapes.

Online Coffee Specials

Even if you don't live here in Vermont I can make your day a little tastier. Our launch of the Mini-bar flavored coffees like B52 coffee and Bourbon Pecan Torte coffee were a huge hit over the holidays. I'm sure these non-alcoholic treats will get many of us through the long winter ahead.

There's a lot more to come this year including flavored coffee specials, Valentine's Day deals, and another local Vermont food exchange. So drink up and check in with me next week.

Until our next cup,
Sandy Riggen
