Shop Local for a Vermont Coffee Holiday

Good Morning Coffee Lovers,

We are decorated for the holidays at Brown and Jenkins. The Christmas tree is full of candy canes for the children, and our store is stocked coffee themed gift baskets, chocolate covered espresso beans in great coffee mugs, and our new logo coffee travel mugs.

Coffee Gifts for the Holidays

Who doesn't love coffee?? OK, my husband, if the truth be known; but lots of people would love a gift of Vermont coffee. Remember coffee connects the world; but we are just one little coffee company trying to connect our community. You are a part of it!

Here are some of the holiday coffee gifts you can find right here in our Cambridge, Vermont roastery:

  • Themed coffee gift baskets which are only available locally
  • Vermont made jams, jellies, coffee rubs and other local and delicious foods
  • Mini-bar coffee flavors that make delightful hostess gifts and dessert items

Even if you don't live locally, or you need to send holiday gifts to loved ones far away, you can give a little Vermont with:

Edible Vermont Food Swap a Great Success

Good Morning Coffee Lovers,

While our Brown and Jenkins' master roasting is working on a batch of Jinglebell Java , I'm sipping on a mug of Mogul Mocha and reminiscing on the great local food event we held last week.

Edible Vermont Food Exchange

Our first Edible Vermont Food Exchange on the 4th was just plain fun. Great hor d'oeuvres were served by Cindy McKinstrie of The Busy Chef. Wonderful music was provided by Elena Nugent on the keyboard who kept the mood upbeat with old favorites and just enough great holiday music.

People brought amazing things to swap and left with arms full of their neighbor's great, edible, Vermont-inspired creations. There were familiar faces and lots of new ones. The new spirit-inspired coffees were a big hit and everyone was in a great mood, bad economy be banished!

Thank you all for coming and making this first event a success. Remember, this is just the first in the series of local food events that we will host here at the roastery. I'll post details of the next event very soon.

Holiday Coffee Gifts

Don’t forget your holiday hostess gifts. The Eggnog Blizzard coffee is a one of a kind holiday coffee. Or send a Brown and Jenkins e-gift card to those far away loved ones!

Until our next cup,

What do Vermonters do in our community as the weather turns colder? We embrace it and go snow shoeing, skiing, sledding, crank up our wood stoves and invite friends over to share a Bourbon Pecan Torte coffee, or a great meal. Speaking of food, this Sunday is the first in a series of a local food exchange event where you can come on out, meet your neighbors, and sample some great Vermont inspired fare.

  • Where: Brown & Jenkins Coffee Roasters, located at the corners of Route 104 and Route 15 in Cambridge. (Up on the hill across the street from Boyden Valley Winery and Farm.)

There are some amazing food products coming out of Vermont, also some great home cooks. So bring your homemade canned pickles, jams, pies, cookies, applesauce, cakes and more. Then taste what your neighbors are cooking up.

Plus:

  • Music provided Elena Nugent with Christmas and original songs
